DEMOLITION & RECONSTRUCTION
Reconstruction
was undertaken by the arichtect François
Lombard.
Given
the poor quality of the 1930 reconstruction work,
the entire southern facade was demolished and
reconstructed using prefabrication concrete elements.
Terracing was greatly facilitated by the demolition
work which also allowed improving the exisiting
foundations, especially those of the balcony in
the amphitheatre.
